Precision, Prediction & the 3Rs - How far have we come?

Precision, Prediction & the 3Rs: How Far Have We Come?

Join us for Precision, Prediction & the 3Rs, an in-person symposium bringing together experts from industry, academia, and regulatory science to explore how new approach methodologies (NAMs), predictive technologies, and human-relevant models are reshaping drug development and advancing the 3Rs: Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement.

We are particularly pleased to have Jordi Carreras-Puigvert, CSO at pixlbio, presenting “Cross-Platform Evaluation of an iPSC-Derived Human Liver Microphysiological System for Predictive Drug-Induced Liver Injury (DILI) Assessment Using Functional and Phenomic Readouts.”

Jordi will share insights from pixlbio's work evaluating iPSC-derived human liver models for predictive DILI assessment, highlighting how functional and phenomic readouts can support more predictive, human-relevant approaches to drug safety evaluation.

The wider programme will explore the evolving regulatory landscape for NAMs, decision-making frameworks for replacing animal studies, weight-of-evidence approaches, AI and predictive technologies, and emerging human-relevant models across drug development.

The symposium will also feature case studies and an expert panel discussion on the future of NAMs, artificial intelligence, and the 3Rs in drug development, alongside opportunities to connect with researchers and industry experts working to advance more predictive and efficient approaches to scientific research.
