pixlbio attends — and presents at — From Cells to Systems 2026, a free-to-attend symposium bringing together leading researchers in high-content imaging, 3D image analysis, and phenotypic drug discovery from across Finland, Sweden, and beyond.
Hosted at Biomedicum Helsinki, the event gathers experts at the intersection of advanced microscopy, AI-driven image analysis, and complex biological systems — exploring how high-content imaging is transforming our ability to extract meaningful biological insights from cells and tissues at scale.
About the Event
From Cells to Systems is organised by Kirsi Ketola, Director of the Cell and Tissue Imaging Unit at the University of Eastern Finland, and Vilja Pietiäinen, Director of the FIMM High Content Imaging and Analysis (HCA) core at the University of Helsinki. The symposium features three thematic sessions spanning 3D imaging, phenotypic drug screening, and Cell Painting and integrative omics.

pixlbio at From Cells to Systems 2026
pixlbio's Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder, Dr Jordi Carreras-Puigvert, will present in Session II on high-content drug screening and phenotypic discovery in disease. His work at the interface of Cell Painting, AI-driven image analysis, and iPSC-based disease models directly reflects the themes of this symposium, and connects pixlbio's integrated platform to the broader Finnish and Nordic imaging community.
The symposium is a natural home for pixlbio — combining the academic rigour of the FIMM and SciLifeLab communities with the applied drug discovery perspective that defines pixlbio's mission.
